For me, sacred geometry is history, the past. I think psychedelics allow you to touch into the Akashic records & to understand things we’re trying to remember. I think we knew advanced things back in the day but forget ‘em. We see this at Egypt, Petra, other sacred places where today we have no idea how they did things. You see the same sacred geometry all over the world. Maybe the different peoples of the ancient world were able to communicate with each other through psychedelics!

About This Episode

The entrepreneurial spirit has driven Johnathan Singer from an early age. By 24, he began a career in publishing when he created the socially conscious lifestyle magazine “West Side Life” in Southern California. The experience expanded his connections with a wide range of artists, musicians, presenters and live performance personnel.   Collaborating with the art world inspired Johnathan to become an artist in his own right. He began performing real-time multimedia light shows to support concerts and musicians he knew through “West Side Life”. Singer’s artistic versatility also includes creative director roles, designing and producing DVDs for music producers, musicians, and other visionary artists. Singer pushed the boundaries of technology through these performances leading to new art forms which incorporated computer-generated images, texture maps, custom 3D animations and special effects. These innovations activated his audiences both with visual and auditory experience. His progressive art style propelled him as a live VJ, growing his business, and leading him to perform all over the globe.

Quotes:

Singer: The Dead’s 1975 ‘Blues for Allah’ was perfect for me, it’s my favorite Dead style, truly psychedelic. My first Dead show was on 5/30/92. It was super hot, like 115 degrees that day. The second set, Drums In Space, these huge thunder clouds collected over the venue!  Mickey & Billy were doing drumrolls tho thunder & lightning bolts—it was the most incredible experience I’d ever had.

Singer: I realized that the Dead’s music was an open space, a journey, for people to get really absorbed & be allowed to be free. You hear it & are just transformed. It’s cliche, but it changed my life, it allowed me to know where I wanted to go.

Singer: The first time I took my gear on the road, I had no idea what I was getting into, getting my equipment on planes & stuff.  The software Archaos had just come out, the first real-time software that let you do effects & MIDI control with sound live. Zooma too was another program that let me take video & psychedelic art & mix them together with sacred geometry.

Singer: Psychedelics for me is all about set & setting. I have to have a reason to do them. The beautiful thing with these medicines is how they help you tap into ways to be a better person.

Daniel: We we communicate with sacred geometry, it’s like it de-programs us & transport us back to our natural state, a more kind & loving state where we want to do our part to help others & alleviate suffering.

Singer: My responsibility for this art is to show people the right thing. I try to be a ‘rainbows & butterfies’ guy. Sure I tap into Geiger & get dark every once in awhile!  I want to give people moments that they’ll remember forever.
